Product Description This is a reconditioned power tool. Reconditioned generally means that the tool has been returned to the manufacturer, who brings the tool back to like new condition. Some tools may contain cosmetic blemishes.
Ready to use straight out of the box, the Bostitch MFN200 factory-reconditioned 2-cleat manual flooring cleat nailer, comes along with a rubber mallet. Simply unpack, load, and strike to nail down and construct stable flooring. Ideal for the DIYer as well as the professional installer, this power cleat nailer drives 1-1/2- to 2-inch nails with minimal effort.
Gun it on hardwood or engineered floors and set the tongue-and-groove joint right for once and for all. The long-reach handle of this cleat nailer enhances the comfort. You need not bend every time to strike this nailer. The sturdy aluminum construction makes Bostitch MFN200 endure jobsite abuse.
The Bostitch MFN200 assures a jam-free operation and lets you smoothly nail an L-shaped serrated nail at every strike. The rubber bumper prevents the flooring from any sort of damage, leaving it neat and spotless. With a magazine capacity of 200 cleats you are freed from the effort of frequent reloading. The 9.5-pound cleat nailer is lightweight, can be easily ported at the job site, and stably drives a nail through 3/4-inch hardwood flooring. Includes: MFN200 cleat nailer
and rubber mallet.

what a deal... September 8, 2010 Keep It Simple For what it is worth. This was the best deal by far for me. First the price $59.99 and no taxes + comes with the name Bostitch(as Micheal would say (Beat it). Second freeee shipping (what's upppp/you know what I'm saying) and it came quicker than they said it would. Third it looked like it was never used (sweeeet). Fourth it works like a charm 400 square feet (4500 LOL nails/cleats ) a little much but well worth it... and if it breaks in the near future I'd by another (same way, same time, same batchannel) Thanks Amazon (to the people it may concern)
does the job , poor design ! September 2, 2010 F. Gherghinis very poor design ! havey and hard to operate it in thight places. Also not to very fast - i wuoldn't recomande it
the only PRO is the price !!!
every thing else , BAD !!!
No Pneumatic Needed August 31, 2010 K. Klein (Ligonier, PA USA) I'm a do it your selfer who had about 800 sq ft of 2 1/2 wide 3/4 inch thick flooring to install. This was a remodel, so Half of the floor was going over 3/4 plywood and the other half was going over an older oak hardwood floor. I was worried that the nails may not sink into the hardwood subfloor, but the cleats sunk in like butter. I had even bought a backup pneumatic and kept it in the unopened box, just in case the manual one didn't work, but after a day of sinking the nails into the hardwood, I returned the pnematic one.
I was really impressed with this unit. When you're driving in tight spaces, it sometimes takes two or three blows to sink the nail fully, and the way the unit works, it allows you to easily see when the first or second blow didn't drive all the way. When this happens the piston you strike does not return fully to the up position. I'd say 75% of the time, one strike worked fine. 20% two strikes were needed, and about 5% required a third tap.
The unit I purchased was also reconditioned and I never had a single issue with it. Through the entire job, which took a solid six days, I never had a single jammed nail to remove.
This was my first attempt at 2 1/2 inch nailed down flooring and I never would have guessed it would be so labor intensive. I thought it would take a weekend, and I spent six solid days. Probably averaging six hours per day. About half of the time, I had someone to help me, which really is recommended.
One other note for DIYers. I just read an article comparing the L-cleats this gun uses with the staples used by some pnematics, and the L-cleat is recommended because they allow for expansion and contraction without getting loose. The staples will loosen and eventually create squeaks.
Recon'd but just like new! August 27, 2010 jaxun I could not be more pleased with this flooring nailer. It arrived and I promptly installed about 400 sq.ft of 2 1/4 x 3/4 solid hardwood. This tool performed flawlessly. I buy reconditioned whenever I can. It appeared to be brand new!
Too much work July 22, 2010 Kay Davenport (O'Fallon, MO United States) There is a reason this is a MANUAL nailer...it requires much effort to drive the nail into the hardwood. We were installing the thicker hardwood in 2 large rooms....it would have taken forever, and our arms would have been worn out by the time we finished that. Good price, but definitely worth spending more on a power nailer, especially for larger projects.
